By pronouncing on the rights of the Puerto Rican people this Tribunal is, also, calling on the United States Governement to respect those international legal standards thet are binding on all sovereign states.
It is high time that world public opinion gave priority to the situation in Puerto Rico. This session of the Permanent Peoples’Tribunal is intended as a step in this direction.
