The struggle for individual human rights can only be won when it is placed in the context of the broader struggle for the rights of peoples. When the right to self determination has been denied to a people it is certain that there will be mass violations of human rights. It is not easy for a small people to take up arms to defend its right to self-government. The Saharawis, as represented by their liberation movement, POLISARIO, have already given ample demonstration that they have that will.
